Two venues in the south of the county have been handed new four-out-of-five food hygiene ratings.
The Boundary House pub in Oxford Road, Abingdon and Italian café and pizzeria La Salute Thame, in Park Street (Thame) were handed their new scores (graded as “good”) following inspections conducted on January 16.
La Salute has an average five star rating on Google Reviews, with the Boundary House at four stars.

Food hygiene ratings are awarded by the Food Standards Agency, with inspections carried out on conjunction with the lower tier authority, here South Oxfordshire and Vale of White Horse District Councils respectively.
It Vale of White Horse, of 190 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 130 (68 per cent) have ratings of five and none a rating of zero.
In South Oxfordshire, of 280, 148 (53 per cent) have ratings of five. Two have a rating of zero.
